About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Support Engineer who has a real flair for technology, mixed with a passion for providing great service to our employees.
Working in our small IT team, you’ll provide solutions and support to our team who work hybridly, you’ll be working autonomously as well as on projects as part of the IT team. You will also work with our managed service help desk who provide immediate telephone support to the team for issues such as login problems, system freezes, downloads etc.
The successful candidate will be based at our office in central London, working alongside our IT Manager and IT Director, to support and maintain all IT hardware and services across the business with all of our teams and staff.
Responsibilities
· Respond to requests for ICT support in accordance with help desk procedures and priorities.
· Assist in the installation or repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing, and solving problems that develop in their operations.
· Assist in a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, primarily in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations (desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, pa equipment, AV lecterns and hardware).
About you
We’re looking for someone who has some experience (12-18mths approx.) working as an IT Support Engineer, preferably in professional services (though this isn’t essential), a degree in computer science would be of benefit but isn’t an essential requirement for you to be successful in this role.
You must be passionate about IT with a strong technical background, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service. This role requires you to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms to our user base.
You should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services provided by your team.
