An opportunity has arisen for a Security Systems Engineer to join an established fire and security services provider, supporting customers and engineering teams across a range of electronic security systems.

The role involves planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and technical support across security systems. This is a field-based role offering a basic salary of £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, plus paid travel, on-call and overtime allowances, with total average earnings of £43,000 – £60,000, plus benefits.

Candidates can be based anywhere in London or within 15 miles north and 20 miles south of St Albans (office location).

You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on electronic security systems.
• Investigating faults and providing technical support to customers and engineers.
• Working across intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and intercom systems.
• Using manufacturer software for system configuration, diagnostics and optimisation.
• Supporting engineers with technical issues and providing guidance where required.
• Completing work and documentation accurately while maintaining good customer service.
• Performing other duties relevant to the role as required.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Security Systems Engineer or in a similar security engineering role.
• Strong experience within the electronic security industry.
• Good technical knowledge of security systems and associated technologies.
• A logical and methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A high level of accuracy when completing work and documentation.

Ideally, you will have experience with some of the following:

• Texecom Cloud, Dahua DoLynk, Salto KS, Paxton10, or Brivo

Relevant backgrounds

• Security Systems Engineer, Security Service Engineer, Security Maintenance Engineer, Electronic Security Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Access Control Engineer, Intruder Alarm Engineer, Security Engineer or in a similar role.
